The Academy of Natural Science was established on July 27, 1995, as an interregional public organization uniting leading scientists in various fields of research. Its initial mission was to promote the development of fundamental and applied sciences, advance scientific knowledge, and provide comprehensive support for research activities.

Since its early years, the Academy actively expanded its structure by establishing new sections and regional branches. By the early 2000s, it already comprised 20 sections covering major fields of knowledge, including physical and mathematical sciences, chemistry, biology, medicine, education, ecology, philosophy of science, and related disciplines. The Academy's membership grew to include representatives from over 350 scientific and educational institutions across Russia and CIS countries, with the total number of members exceeding 5,000.

A significant milestone was the establishment of an extensive network of regional branches across 92 Russian cities. This expansion facilitated the promotion of local scientific initiatives, strengthened academic collaboration, and provided support for young scientists and researchers.

Since its inception, the Academy has consistently prioritized international cooperation. The Academy welcomed scientists from various countries, including Germany, Austria, the United States, Israel, China, and others. The organization regularly hosted international conferences, seminars, and meetings, actively engaging foreign partners in joint projects and fostering the integration of Russian scientists into the global scientific community.

By 2024, the Academy had accumulated substantial experience in international collaboration, enabling its transition to a fundamentally new stage of development - the International Academy of Natural Sciences. This strategic move reflects the organization's commitment to taking an active role in the global scientific community by addressing pressing international scientific challenges.

The key priorities of the International Academy of Natural Sciences at the current stage are:

· Expanding international scientific partnerships and strengthening global cooperation.

· Increasing collaborative research projects with foreign universities and scientific institutions.

· Organizing large-scale international conferences, scientific seminars, and educational programs.

· Enhancing technology transfer initiatives and developing applied research projects.

Today, the International Academy of Natural Sciences, operating as an autonomous non-profit organization, has the largest membership among non-state academies in Russia - with over 11,000 scientists and experts from Russia and more than 30 foreign countries holding titles of Academicians, Corresponding Members, Professors, and Advisors of the Academy. The Academy also maintains rigorous standards for member selection and the awarding of academic titles.
